Wooden Rings: How to Make Wooden Rings By Hand is my second book. After seeing wooden rings for sale online, I tried to make a few in the shop. It turns out that the process is fairly easy, and I ended up making hundreds of them. Once I made my wedding ring, I knew that I had to share the process with other woodworkers.

My book Wooden Rings: How To Make Wooden Rings By Hand shows how to make wooden rings in an easy to follow, step by step manner. The book begins with a discussion of the tools and materials that you will need to be successful. I designed the instructions to minimize the number of tools needed, so that the most people could use the book.
Once you understand the tools, the materials section showcases some of the most beautiful and exotic wood species available. One key design element in wooden rings is wood selection. You can dramatically change the look of a wooden ring just by changing the wood.
After the tools and materials come the step by step instructions for making a wooden ring. The book assumes you know very little about woodworking, and explains each step with pictures and text. Once you understand the basic process for making a ring, you will be able to make several more using that same method.
Later in the text, wood lamination, grain direction, and using metal inside the rings is explained. These design elements allow you to do more with your wooden rings. They also broaden your ability to make an interesting and unique ring.
The text shows many example rings for inspiration. I made over 50 rings just to show in the book, and they all came out really well. It was a pleasure working with new lamination techniques, creating new designs, and showcasing my work. The book is available on Amazon, and is full color.
