In the beginning, bending wood can seem like a really different task. However, it’s not really any different from any other type of woodworking. Everything takes practice, and bending wood is no different.

The only thing that gets guitar makers nervous is that they have never bent a piece of wood before in most cases. While this is definitely different, before using a table saw you may never have cut a piece of wood before.

Learning anything new is a challenge, and bending wood is no different. I’ll show you several methods and the tools you need to get started, which will give you the best head start that you can get.
