Finishing With Tru-Oil Video

brian forbes westfarthing woodworks author biography about me experience

Tru-Oil makes an excellent wood finisher out of anyone, is inexpensive, and can be used on almost any wooden project.  This is a hand applied finish, so finishing with tru-oil does not require any fancy equipment.  This video shows how to apply tru-oil, and how to create a beautiful finish quickly.

If you want to learn more about wood finishing, I have written a PDF guide that is free to download called the 10 Step Guide to Wood Finishing.  This guide shows how easy wood finishing can be for the beginner. Anyone with a little practice and some good advice can create a beautiful finish.

Anyone can begin finishing with tru-oil right away after doing a little reading or watching the video.  You should not be worried about applying a nice finish, Tru-Oil makes it easy and the results are amazing.

I detail several great finishes for acoustic guitars in my book, Acoustic Guitar Making: How to make Tools, Templates, and Jigs.  This book has over 500 pages and over 1600 images that detail many processes in guitar making.  Finishing is detailed heavily, because it is an area of struggle for many woodworkers.
